A little white stone,
that several thousand years ago, so they say,
had fallen from the moon down to earth,
has, through all those many thousands of nights, been thinking of the moon.
And the moon is shining with a golden smile
and the light of the moon is softly stroking the little, whitish stone.
One night, after two thousand years maybe,
sometime in autumn,
when the little stone had stopped thinking about the moon for a brief moment,
the moon whispered into the silence:
„My lovely little stone. I, too, have once been a stone that has once fallen down from earth,
and ever since been thinking of the earth each night„.
And the moon is shining with a golden smile
and the light of the moon is softly stroking the little stone.
A little white stone,
that several thousand years ago, so they say,
had fallen from the moon down to earth,
has, through all those many thousands of nights, been thinking of the moon.
The moon and the stone from the moon, and the moon as a stone, and the moonstone,
and the stonemoon, the stonemoon, the moonstone, moonstone, stone stone
moon….
